Since the Optimarin Ballast System was type approved in November 2009 Optimarin has received orders for more than 180 systems. The systems will be installed on a wide range of vessels and the orders are placed by major international ship owners and yards. To date more than 35 of the sold systems are already installed.

CSS Derwent - Compact Semi Submersible
According to the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention, Mobile Offshore Units (MOUs) also require to have a ballast water treatment system installed when the convention enters in to force. With the recently received order for a skid mounted 250 m³/h Optimarin Ballast System for the Compact Semi Submersible “CSS Derwent”, it is confirmed that the Optimarin system is also suitable for this very complex type of vessels.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
Optimarin is happy to announce that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) have ordered Optimarin Ballast Systems. The systems will be installed on board the two Ramform W-class seismic vessels that MHI is building at their Nagasaki Shipyard for Norwegian ship owner Petroleum Geo-Services ASA (PGS).

Optimarin has signed an agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea, where Optimarin will deliver Optimarin Ballast Systems to the five 55.000 dwt Open Hatch Gantry Craned (OHGC) vessels that DSME are constructing for Saga Shipholding (Norway), a 100% subsidiary of Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK) Japan.
